I want to thank the Reunion Committee for allowing me to come to your 40th reunion in HONOR of my deceased brother, VINCE MARKHAM.  Nothing would please Vince more than knowing I will be there celebrating with the best friends he had in his entire life.  Vince became a fervent animal lover in Idaho and passed away at age 49.
I remember more of Vince's friends from MHS than I do from my own year.  Vince was the fun party guy, and I was his studious, nerdy little sister.
My husband owns Rhyne Design Cabinets and I work there a few hours a week doing Human Resources and other management tasks.  The marjority of my time is spent managing several of our family owned properties in 5 different states--- a job I wish I didn't have! For fun I volunteer at both the Sheriff's Office --typing transcriptions for Investigations-- and also at The Family Justice Center where I am the receptionist one afternoon a week.
   I travel, entertain, socialize incessantly!

It's amazing!  40 years!  In some ways it seems like just yesterday that Norman Greenbaum was belting out "Spirit in the Sky" to us at graduation time.  In other ways it seems like a lifetime
ago.  After high school I joined the US Coast Guard for 4 years.  Was fortunate enough to do a tour at Lake Tahoe as a search and rescue boat captain.  After my duty was complete I attended the SRJC and completed the Radiologic Technologist program and then later went back and received a BA degree from St. Mary's College in Healthcare Administration and have been working in various roles in the healthcare arena ever since.  I've been married to Janeen, love of my life and my best friend for 30 years ("Cara Mia!") We have 2 grown children, one married and 1 in love.  Both MHS grads!  Both healthy and happy! My hobbies include:  flyfishing (Glacier Nation Park, Hat Creek), kayak fishing (Lake Tahoe), or any kind of fishing, kayaking, cooking, and shopping for great Sonoma County foods, hiking, snorkeling (Kauai's North shore), or being challenged by our Wheaten Terrier or my wife.  So far, it's been a great ride!  I hope I get a chance to chat with you if I attend the reunion.

Looking forward to our reunion!! So many events over the past 40 years. I have a son Tony, daughter Tammy and four grandsons. Jose 18, he just graduated from MHS third generation, Trae 13, third generation Slater, Andrue 14 and Mateo 6.
After 29 years at HP/Agilent I retired in 2009. I am a respite Foster Mom for newborns at risk for CPS. I Work as a Sonoma County Law Enforcement Chaplain as a first responder. I just finished my 4th year of a breast cancer survivor. My parents have passed away and I am living in the family home in which they purchased when I was 12 and going to Slater. I have worked at Daniels Chapel of the Roses helping families deal with their loss in a caring and loving way. "Being there" is what I do best.
I am a Memorial Hospice/ Petaluma Valley Hospice Volunteer. I was granted a certificate two years after my angel Mom passed away from lung cancer in 2004. It was a long hard battle and she died in my arms. I took a leave of absence from Daniels Chapel of the Roses when my Dad fell in our backyard and broke his neck on Sept. 24th, 2011, while I was officiating a wedding in Oakmont. He died in my arms on 11-11-11. His favorite number and on Veterans Day which he was one of the most patriotic people I have ever known. This was the day he chose.
I am making some changes to our family home to make it more comfortable for my growing family who I love dearly.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you!!
Many blessings,

September 07, 1954 wellness consultant and fashion.consultant ; Single Again 3
Wow, 40 years!
After high school I attended University of Oregon in Eugene (Go Ducks!).
I met my husband there my senior year and we were married for 29 years.
During that time we lived in the East Bay, Altadena (S. CA), Davis, Santa Barbara, Chicago suburbs, and the Dallas Suburbs. Along the way we had 3 daughters.
I worked for AT&T for a few years, then stayed home to raise the girls and run various volunteer organzations.
After my marraige ended, I moved to Chicago with my oldest and bought and rehabed a 100 year old bungalow. Super fun!
I've been a consultant in the wellness industry for 16 years, and added fashion to mix for the pure fun of it a few years ago. I'm passionate about helping people feel their very best and be proactive with their health. And if you're a girl; look sassy while you're at it!
I get to Santa Rosa now and then to visit my parents.
Life has been a grand adventure so far, and I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Don't let 'em fool you...getting old is not all its cracked up to be!

Left crowded Cali in '76 and never looked back. Can count the times I have returned on my fingers - well maybe a couple of toes as well.

The PNW is God's country once one adapts to the rainy winters. But hey, that's what keeps it green during those long glorious summers.

Settled down in my mid-30's. 22 years of marriage to Susan and three mostly grown children.

After 36 years of public service as a Counselor for the Dept. of Corrections I have snuggled into retirement quite as easily as I left Cali. Life is grand when everyday is a Saturday!

Still deciding if I want to make the trek back down for the reunion. Will see I guess.

Best wishes to all...
